BETWEEN THE PORCH AND THE ALTAR
To this generation much has been given
But less have we accomplished
Greater works we were told to do
But even our own lives we cannot move
Still striving between the flesh and the spirit
And the foolish thought on our minds
Has become a battle we are yet to win.
our spirit is clouded with self-desires.
And the only fire left in us is rituals of religion.
But there is a place where flesh does not hold.
There our soul is not ashamed to weep.

We are the new generational priest
But our garments are stains with evil deeds
We fight on the Altar for our gain
Forgetting the sacrifice of the Lamb that was slain.
Instead of pulling down satanic pit
Here we are fighting for the pulpit.
We proclaim the name of the son of God.
But our desire is to get fame.
We have declared Altar vs Altar.
Little did we know, it was one pastor altar fighting against another pastor altar.
There is a place our soul needs.
But there is a place where flesh does not hold.
There our soul is not ashamed to weep.

The weakness of our youth fainted before the temptations of life.
The cares of this world has blind our eyes from the simplicity of the leading of the spirit.
For iniquity holds our lives and the innocence of our heart is perverse.
We now have the swag but lack the spirit.
We carry the hype but no spiritual Mighty.
We have no conviction to hold on to our faith.
Because His word found no way into our spirit
We claim we are from the tribe of Judah.
But here we are comfortable with the sins of Babylon.
And stabbing one another in the way of Judas.
We grope in darkness.
For we know not the path to greatness
We have toil and catch nothing.
But still refuse to surrender to the one give everything.
There is a place our soul needs.
A place where flesh does not hold.
There our soul is not ashamed to weep.

The war after the fall of man is still on
The victory the cross have given
More than a conquer we have been called
And inheritance has been delivered unto us
But they that are on the grand stand of glory
The prophet of old sees us not reigning
To this we are not satisfy
Out of our comfort we will move
To the lord we will come
For a change we will call
Today, this week, this month and this year
Our soul will travail
For our Family we will prevail
The purpose of hell we will derail
Iniquity we will curtail
Our generation we will change
Because there is a place we have found
On it walls our hands have taken hold

Lives the deem side of life.
Hold on the horns of faith.
There are days untold.
Surely brighter days God will unfold.
You are a kind of your own.
Bubble up, straight out in shape.
Light the magnificent of new hope.

Open the grave,
Resurrect buried commitment.
Let passion walk in force.
Take a sigh not a bow.
Streams must flow
Find a route, drain the bad feelings,
bail out the old and stand on the stones.

David exemplified profound wisdom. When on the battlefield, though stones lay all around, he did not simply bend down to pick them up. Instead, he left that place and went to the brook. You need a stone for your sling, but you cannot take it from just anywhere.
He went to the place of flowing water; the brook and there he selected his stones. David chose his stones from the brook, not from the field.
He did not bring stones with him to the battlefield; rather, he chose them from the brook. The brook is a place of water, fresh and flowing. We cannot overcome the enemy or achieve victory in life through our gifts alone; we must go to the brook. There is a brook in God’s kingdom: the fountain of living water, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is our brook, and within Him lie our stones. My goodness! In the brook of the Holy Spirit, we can choose stones from God to fight the enemies of this life.
Do not choose your stones from just anywhere. Let them come from the brook of the Holy Ghost. David knew that the stones to defeat the giant could only be found in the brook. The stones you need to win in life can only be found in the Holy Spirit. Be found alone in the brook of the Holy Ghost and receive your stones from Him.
The good news is that you may gather many stones from the brook for the enemy, but only one is enough to defeat him. This is one of the benefits of being in the brook of the Holy Ghost.
Many people want to defeat the enemy, but they pick stones from psychology, from experience, from bad advisers, and from news broadcasts. Beloved, go to the brook of the Spirit, there your stones are. If you choose a stone from the Spirit, that business will not fail, that sickness will perish in your body, that setback will expire. Go get your stones now. Look past your surroundings; the stones full of power are in the Spirit. You may have read many Scriptures, but He will give you the rhema verse in which your victory lies. You are built from within as a super being. Think about this for a moment, a young shepherd boy defeating a giant in a world-class battle. David intentionally went to the battlefield without a sword, yet he returned with the head of one of Israel greatest enemy. He faced Goliath in one-to-one combat and emerged victorious. No one owe you a victory in life like your own mind.
When your mind is shaped by divine truth, it builds incredible faith in God, which can bring tremendous results in every area of life. You must rise with an undefeated mindset. You mind is not just to have a good grade in life but to have a good fight in life.
David had only a sling and five stones, but they were backed by a divine mindset programmed to conquer any opposing force. When we support our limited abilities with God’s mind, it can bring immeasurable results. What you have in your hands is not small. All you need is the mind of God, and you can break down walls.
Goliath was dressed in full armour and carried a sword. Yet David saw a naked and defenseless man standing before him. He did not see or acknowledge Goliath as the giant Israel feared. Never reach a point where you respect your troubles and problems so much,giving them so much honor that all you see is defeat and become stuck in them. David’s mind was filled with victory in every situation. This kind of mindset is far greater than a physical sword because the mind itself is a sharp sword.
Intentionally believe in what you have, and know that you can reach life’s highest places with it. Put the God-kind of faith in what you possess, and you will return with victory. That small business or group will grow if your mind is filled with all possibilities.
David had no sword at hand but he was definitely with a sharper one in his mind.
